Project Manager

We are currently looking for a Project Manager based in our Portsmouth, NH office.  This person will be responsible for all aspects of Project Management covering all phases from proposal, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning to contract close-out of power plant pollution control equipment at customer sites.  Must be capable of leading multi-discipline and multi-company team on one or more simultaneous projects.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Preparing, tracking and administering all aspects of project budgets.  This individual should be experienced with budget preparation and administration for large-scale commercial projects greater than $10 million.
  • Preparing, maintaining, and tracking compliance with project schedules.  Schedules shall be at both the key event level and at a level necessary to support daily work assignments.  Schedules shall include personnel and material resource requirements.
  • Coordinating actions of participating activities outside of Powerspan (includes vendors, subcontractors and the customer).  The individual should be experienced with coordinating activities of groups of individuals at diverse geographic locations.
  • Developing customer-specific project proposals for power pollution control projects.
  • Maintaining master files of system and equipment design specifications and drawings.
  • Tracking problems and open items, ensuring that items are resolved on schedule and that all levels of management are kept informed of required actions and status.
  • Resolving technical issues associated with construction, including ensuring assembled systems perform as designed and are delivered/fabricated on schedule.

Required Background:

  • Must possess an Engineering degree with a minimum of 12 years of experience in an engineering/construction environment and a minimum of 5 years as a project manager.
  • Required to interact with technical experts and with managers and engineering staff outside of Powerspan (vendors, subcontractors and customers).
  • Must possess excellent business and communication skills (written and verbal).
