Entry-Level Process Engineer

We are currently looking for a Process Engineer to expand our team in our Portsmouth, NH offices.  This entry-level position will support other engineers in the department and provide the applicant with an opportunity to learn from senior process engineers.  Seeking candidate with strong organization skills and good follow-through who will have the ability to take on increasing levels of project responsibility over time.

Position Requirements:

  • Must analyze technical aspects of assigned projects and identify potential problems early in the workflow.
  • Will coordinate and execute process engineering assignments including generating mass/energy balances, writing equipment specifications, updating design documents and assisting with cost estimates.
  • Should be familiar with using spreadsheets and modeling software for process design and should be aware of their limitations and capabilities.
  • Must have strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must have “hands-on” experience in a process environment.
  • Some travel may be required to support project meetings and equipment testing.

Required Background:

  • A degree in Chemical Engineering and 0-3 years of process engineering experience preferred.
  • Minimum GPA 3.25

Preferred Experience:

  • Understanding of coal-fired electric power production processes and the associated pollution control equipment.
  • Co-op or work experience from the chemical, pulp & paper, or power production industries.
  • Experience with Aspen, HYSIS, Gate Cycle, or other process modeling software.
