Chemical Engineer Intern

We are currently looking for a CHEMICAL ENGINEER INTERN based in our New Durham, NH facility.   The Chemical Engineer Intern is responsible for the setup, performance and analysis of laboratory experiments and operation of pilot and development units at operating plants. This position will also assist in the design of test beds and experiments for development of commercially viable technologies.
 
Primary responsibilities include:

  • Conducts laboratory experiments in support of research goals established by the Company.
  • Supports operation of the Company’s experimental facilities, including development and pilot scale units.
  • Assists in specifying technical requirements of test apparatus, including monitoring equipment, to ensure experimental objectives are met.
  • Assists in design of experiments and test equipment and in construction of experimental equipment to ensure design goals are met.
  • Reviews laboratory testing procedures and all precautions necessary to ensure the safety of personnel from the hazards specific to the experiment.
  • Analyzes experimental results, documents the equipment, method, process, and data and formally presents part or all the information to supervisors as requested for review and critique.
  • Performs literature searches as required to support assigned tasks or as requested to support other efforts of the Company.
  • Performs analysis and calculations as required to support assigned tasks or as requested to support other efforts of the Company.

Required Background:

  • 3rd or 4th year chemical engineering student
