Distinct advantages of our carbon capture process include comparatively low regeneration energy and its ability to accept relatively high SO2 inlet concentrations. These result in substantially lower costs per ton of CO2 captured.

The Importance of Carbon Capture and Storage/Sequestration (CCS)
According to the International Energy Agency, in order to reduce global CO2 emissions 50% from 2005 levels by 2050, CCS will need to provide nearly 20% of these reductions.  (Source: IEA's Energy Technology Perspectives 2010: Scenarios & Strategies to 2050).

Additionally, President Obama’s Interagency Task Force on Carbon Capture and Storage has determined that not only is CCS viable, but “there are no insurmountable technical, legal, institutional, or other barriers” to its deployment.
